Special Look: The Flash Mob
A challenging rebrand.
Our company chose a bold new direction for our yearly conference but in order to pull it off, we needed an unforgettable experience for our guests.
It has to feel real.
Contractor nation presents CNLIVE, an in your face experience for the nation’s leading contracting company. Now we just needed a (friendly) way to get in our guests faces.
Pitch Perfect
I pitched the idea of a flash mob to our directors and after painting the picture of what the experience would be like for our customers, the c-suite were thrilled and gave the go ahead.
Not your average flash mob.
We wouldn’t success with a normal flash mob. It has to be something unique and memorable. I suggested that since the rebrand was to CN.. LIVE, that we emphasize the LIVE experience.
A flashy entrance.
We pre-recorded a video of a huge mob of employees navigating the streets leading all the way to the theatre building, through the doors and landing right in front of the entry door into the theatre itself. Our guests watched the prerecorded video on screen and just when the mob reached the doors, a REAL flash mob was waiting in secret outside the doors and burst in at just the right timing.
The WOW factor.
Seeing this mob on screen and then be blindsided by an actual mob moments later really caught the audience by surprise. The audience was blown away, especially as the mob roared, high fived and handed out swag as they swarmed the auditorium making their way to the stage for a final cheer.
